The Director, Business Development - Distribution is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing growth opportunities through Siemens Healthineers distribution partners for our LS and POC business. The role serves as the catalyst for distributor-enabled growth, using internal business performance data, external market intelligence, competitive insights, and distributor capabilities to identify and prioritize opportunities that generate incremental revenue. This leader will translate analysis into actionable strategies and initiatives, lead execution from concept through measurable results, and collaborate across Siemens Healthineers and distributor organizations to drive results, create alignment, remove barriers, and accelerate growth. The role will also establish repeatable processes, planning tools, performance measures, and reporting that strengthen the organization’s ability to identify and capture future opportunities. You Will: Develop and execute distribution growth strategies that align partner capabilities, customer relationships, field coverage, segmentation, and market access with Siemens Healthineers commercial objectives, portfolio priorities, and customer needs; build short- and long-term roadmaps across existing and emerging channels. Turn business, market, and competitive intelligence into action by analyzing sales, product mix, customer segments, geography, pipeline, distributor performance, market dynamics, and unmet needs to identify opportunities for new and existing products and create executive-ready recommendations and business cases. Identify and prioritize growth opportunities using revenue potential, strategic fit, customer value, feasibility, investment, and probability of success—and support decisions with financial models and scenario analyses; maintain a transparent portfolio with clear ownership, milestones, decisions, and expected impact. Lead strategic initiatives from concept to sustainable execution by coordinating cross-functional and partner workstreams; establishing plans, milestones, and success measures; and managing pilots, scaling, ownership transitions, interdependencies, and escalations. Build alignment and drive action across a matrixed environment by partnering with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Commercial Operations, Service, Contracting, and other functions, as well as distributor executives, sales leaders, operations teams, and field organizations; facilitate strategic planning, initiative reviews, and joint business reviews without relying on direct authority. Strengthen organizational capability by improving data collection, quality, accessibility, reporting, and planning tools and establishing repeatable playbooks for opportunity assessment, initiative design, launch, governance, and performance tracking. Measure, communicate, and improve performance by defining KPIs, leading indicators, financial outcomes, and adoption measures; monitoring variance and recommending corrective action; reporting revenue impact, ROI, portfolio health, decisions, risks, and lessons learned; and using results to scale successful approaches or redesign or stop underperforming initiatives. Your Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development, corporate or commercial strategy, strategic planning, consulting, commercial operations, channel management, or a related discipline.
