Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager drives and support the overall growth strategy for North America through focused business development and strategic marketing execution. The Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the acquisition of new business (maintaining a personal sales target) and orchestrating growth by driving cross-functional selling of new service or capabilities into existing customers both within NA and internationally. Responsibilities: Directly contribute to profitable revenue growth through a combination of new business acquisition and collaborative growth strategies to grow existing accounts Identify and pursue new business opportunists within North America Work collaboratively with the wider Commercial team to support cross-selling opportunities Cultivate and nurture strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships Generate and provide market intelligence to identify new opportunities Act as a visible and influential thought leader for the business Ensure all business development activities are in strategic alignment with the Unipart Way Self-Development Maintain an organizational & prioritization system to ensure effective delivery of your role Ensure promptness at meetings Maintain confidentiality Always maintain a smart and business-like appearance Identify areas for personal development to improve performance in role and actively seek ways to improve Other Other duties as may be assigned Travel, both domestic and international, as required by business needs Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Deep understanding of 3PL contracts, commercial agreements, and pricing/solutions Experience in the development of proposals, presentations, and has the ability to understand and communicate the customer requirements at all levels. An understanding of P&L including the "big picture" while paying attention to the details. Deep market understanding and the ability to develop relationships at all levels Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Advanced presentation and persuasive skills, ability to influence at all levels Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills 3PL commercial & financial acumen Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Ability and willingness to be flexible with working hours to meet operating needs of the business Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards While performing the duties of this job, work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
