By afternoon, you’ve aligned delivery schedules, tuned parameters for better forecast fidelity, and closed the loop on a corrective action—keeping production humming without a hiccup. Position Details Compensation: $36/hour Work Setting: On-site (Not Remote) Schedule: 1st shift — Temp to hire What You’ll Own End-to-end buying of direct materials and services to sustain production output. Primary liaison duties among internal teams, suppliers, and customers—supporting pre-production ramp-up through full-scale manufacturing. Requisition review, competitive bid evaluation, and timely issuance of purchase orders. Execution of MRP-driven purchasing activities with strong discipline and follow-through. Procurement support for both new product introductions and sustaining products. Planning and executing last-time buys tied to end-of-life scenarios. Performance management around on-time delivery, inventory health, and purchase price variance. Forecast accuracy analysis with concise reporting and insights. Maintenance of standard costs for assigned components and materials. Participation in sourcing and quoting to secure supply continuity and reduce total cost. Rapid resolution of shortages, allocations, and transactional discrepancies. Supplier relationship and performance management, including reviews and improvement plans. Tracking and driving KPIs such as OTD, PO acknowledgments, and past-due shipments. Audit readiness for ISO/internal audits and timely closure of findings. Continuous improvement of data integrity and planning parameters. Root cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions. Who You Are 4–7 years of direct materials buying experience, ideally within manufacturing. Proficient with MRP and advanced SAP capabilities. Analytically strong in Excel or Google Sheets. Deep grasp of procurement, inventory control, and supplier management processes. Comfortable operating independently while juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Clear, confident communicator who collaborates well across teams and with suppliers/customers. Detail-obsessed problem solver with high accuracy standards. Familiar with supply chain policies, procedures, and ISO standards. Bonus Points Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
