Digital Solutions Architect (Engineer)
Tactica SolutionsOverview: Title: Digital Solutions Architect Job Location: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama Travel up to 30% as required to support, inspections, project planning, and stakeholder coordination. Salary range: $160,000-$183,000 About the Role Tactica Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Temporary Digital Solutions Architect to support a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics & Engineering (G-4) at Redstone Arsenal, AL. This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of up to 12 months. The assignment may end earlier based on organizational needs but is not expected to exceed 12 months. This role is time limited and does not guarantee continued or permanent employment. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying an enterprise-grade, AI-enabled Integrated Readiness and Predictive Maintenance Platform for military weapon systems and equipment fleets. The successful candidate will design and build analytical pipelines, predictive models, and user interfaces that fuse disparate maintenance, supply chain, operational, and telemetry data into a unified Common Operational Picture (COP). This platform will serve multiple military echelons—from strategic commanders to sustainment logisticians and field maintainers—to forecast component failures, optimize supply-chain actions, and maximize operational readiness across distributed environments. Development will leverage enterprise platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Army 365 (Power Platform/SharePoint), or custom development stacks (e.g., Python, SQL). Key Responsibilities: Integrated Data Engineering & Pipeline Development Ingest, normalize, and reconcile highly diverse data streams from tactical maintenance databases (e.g., SAMS-E, GCSS-A, or equivalent military systems of record), supply-chain platforms, Built-In Test (BIT) telemetry, and operational records. Build robust pipelines for standardized entity resolution and temporal alignment to produce a coherent, unified analytic corpus across equipment component histories, fault events, and usage cycles. Ensure all data schemas are government-owned, compliant, and ready for publication into broader situational awareness networks (such as the Maven Smart System data fabric or other JADC2 architectures). Predictive Analytics & Maintenance Optimization Develop and deploy predictive survival-analysis and temporal degradation models to forecast component failures based on operating hours, usage cycles, and environmental exposure. Focus predictive analytics on "High-Payoff Mission-Essential Components" (the critical parts list that disproportionately drives fleet readiness) to generate early demand signals before operational capabilities degrade. Build resource-constrained optimization routines that evaluate alternative maintenance schedules against real-world constraints such as workforce availability, military occupational specialties (MOS), support equipment, and parts inventory. Design automated decision-support workflows for lateral transfers and controlled exchanges of critical parts across different units/locations to maximize overall fleet operational readiness. Multi-Persona Interface & Dashboard Design Configure and customize user interfaces tailored to distinct military personas: Strategic Leaders: Map-based geographic dispersion, aggregate fleet readiness metrics, and forward-looking (30/60/180-day) readiness risk forecasts. Logisticians: Class IX supply-chain trade spaces, lateral transfer recommendations, and high-payoff parts tracking. Maintainers: Prioritized work queues, real-time status updates, and interactive reference tools. Integrate conversational AI capabilities, developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks over technical publications and manuals to provide source-attributed answers with precise paragraph citations.
