Diesel Truck & Trailer Mechanic
American Tank Lines LLCAmerican Tank Lines is seeking an experienced and motivated Diesel Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our growing trucking operation in Leesburg, Florida. We operate a fleet of Class 8 Freightliner tractors and liquid tanker trailers. We are looking for a dependable, skilled mechanic who can diagnose problems, perform repairs, and keep our equipment operating safely and efficiently. Duties & Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including turbos, injectors, cooling systems, and related components. Perform computer diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems. Diagnose and repair air brake systems, ABS, and air systems. Repair transmissions, differentials, and driveline components. Diagnose and repair suspension and steering systems. Perform preventive maintenance on Class 8 tractors and tanker trailers. Inspect and repair trailer components, including valves, pumps, hoses, and related equipment. Perform DOT inspections and safety checks. Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Perform welding and minor fabrication as needed. Identify potential mechanical problems before equipment breaks down. Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records. Perform additional duties as required. Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience repairing Class 8 diesel trucks and trailers. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Freightliner trucks and Detroit Diesel engines preferred. Knowledge of diesel electrical systems, air brakes, and emissions systems. Tanker trailer maintenance experience is a plus. Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have own tools. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Pay & Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience. Weekly pay by direct deposit. Monday–Friday work schedule. Overtime paid after 40 hours. Paid holidays after 90 days.
