Diesel Truck Mechanic
J & N, LLC.The Position : We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with diesel engines, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Located in Gaylord, MI. Pay is based on experience. Truck Diesel Mechanic Minimum Requirements: · Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol tests. · Pass background check · Proven Experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy-duty technician · Team player · Ability to learn · Able to work full time/overtime and potentially weekends Truck Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities · Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems · Perform preventive maintenance services (oil changes, filters, lubrication, fluid checks) · Inspect, repair, and maintain braking systems, including air brakes and ABS · Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems · Service steering, suspension, cooling, and fuel systems · Use diagnostic software and tools to identify mechanical issues · Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations · Document repairs, parts used, and labor performed · Maintain a clean and safe work environment · Communicate repair needs and timelines with supervisors or fleet managers · Safety minded (Follow OSHA and shop safety procedures) · Maintain a clean, organized work area *Pay will depend on experience* Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Vision insurance Experience: Diesel Mechanic : 4 years (Required) License/Certification: Chauffeur's License (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Gaylord, MI 49735 (Preferred) Work Location: In person
