Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Truck Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks and industrial equipment. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, engine tune-ups, and fluid replacements to keep machinery running smoothly. Repair and service specialized machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other industrial tools to execute repairs with precision. Operate heavy machinery for testing purposes or during repair procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret electrical systems diagrams and troubleshoot electrical issues on various equipment models. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and tracking purposes. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, industrial equipment, and power tools. Hands-on experience working with schematics for electrical systems and mechanical assemblies. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe operation of heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes. Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks; HVAC knowledge is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members about repairs or maintenance needs. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately. Valid certifications in automotive repair or diesel technology are advantageous; experience with Caterpillar or other major brands is a plus.
