Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and air brake systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, inspections, and component replacements
• Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Use diagnostic software, hand tools, and shop equipment to troubleshoot issues
• Repair and maintain trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment
• Perform welding repairs as needed
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Technician
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle systems
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs independently
• Experience using diagnostic tools and shop equipment
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs and work in a physical shop environment
Preferred Qualifications
• ASE certifications or technical school training
• Welding experience
• DOT inspection experience
• Experience with heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, or trailer repair
• Familiarity with farm equipment, Caterpillar equipment, or RV trailers

Work Environment
Shop environment supporting diesel truck, trailer, and heavy equipment repairs. Candidates should be comfortable working around heavy machinery, using diagnostic equipment and power tools, and performing physically demanding work in varying shop temperatures.

This is a Contract position based out of Bridgeton, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $47.00/hr.
