Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a 50+ tractor trailer fleet. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to support our operational goals. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety standards. Troubleshoot complex issues related to heavy equipment operation, including suspension systems, alignment problems, HVAC systems, and welding repairs. Replace or repair faulty components using hand tools and power tools; perform tire service and heavy lifting tasks safely. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately diagnose issues; utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for repairs. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure compliance with safety regulations during all repair activities. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong background in semi truck repair a must. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair techniques for industrial equipment. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, welding, soldering, and hydraulic troubleshooting. Familiarity with schematics interpretation and the use of diagnostic software for electrical systems and powertrain components. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus; must be comfortable performing heavy lifting safely. Excellent mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Join our team to work on exciting projects that keep industry moving!
