Diesel Technician/Mechanic Full OR Part time

About us Johnson Hill Customs LLC is a small family owned business in Spring Valley, WI. We are looking to bring on a mechanic or diesel tech to our team. We do anything from routine maintenance on heavy trucks and trailers to building custom trucks that are shown across the country. This position we are looking to fill would be mainly routine maintenance on our own equipment. We are willing to train, and competitive pay is based on experience. Full or part time availability. Benefits available to full time employees. Duties - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles - Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with diesel engines and equipment - Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel vehicles - Repair and replace faulty parts, components, or systems - Weld and assemble components as needed - Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed Qualifications - Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role - Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of diesel engines and systems - Ability to diagnose and repair air brake systems - Proficient in vehicle maintenance procedures - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Strong customer service skills Experience in fabricating, painting or welding is a plus. We perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment. We have our own fleet of trucks and trailers as well as outside work for farmers and building and/or customizing trucks. We can work around your experience level as to what types of projects you feel comfortable working on.
