Diesel Technician/Mechanic

Experienced Diesel Technician / Heavy-Duty Mechanic We are looking for an experienced Diesel Technician to join our shop. This position is for someone who has real hands-on experience working on diesel trucks, including engine diagnostics and engine repairs. Pay: $35-$42 per hour, based on experience Job Type: Full-time Location: 13101 Foothill Blvd Sylmar CA 91342 Responsibilities include: Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems Perform engine work, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs Work on heavy-duty trucks, medium-duty trucks, buses, and commercial vehicles Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, brakes, suspension, electrical, cooling systems, fuel systems, and general repairs Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to identify issues Communicate needed repairs clearly with the service advisor/shop manager Complete repair orders and document work performed Maintain a clean and safe work area Work independently and as part of a team Requirements: Diesel engine repair experience required Heavy-duty truck or commercial vehicle experience preferred Must be able to diagnose and repair engines, not just perform basic maintenance Must have own basic tools Must be dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills Cummins, Detroit, CAT, International, Ford, Isuzu, Hino, or other diesel experience is a plus ASE certifications are a plus but not required CDL is a plus but not required We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can handle jobs from diagnosis to repair, and wants to be part of a busy shop with steady work.
