Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, trucks, and industrial machinery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, heavy trucks, trailers,and other heavy-duty machinery using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct preventative maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, alignment checks, and hydraulic system servicing to ensure equipment reliability. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to assemble parts, repair transmissions, shocks & struts, and perform complex mechanical systems repair. Troubleshoot electrical systems such as automotive electrical systems repair and air brake systems to identify faults accurately and implement effective solutions. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist with fabrication tasks when necessary; operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair needs and maintenance schedules. Qualifications Proven dealership or heavy equipment mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with heavy truck repair, automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical system troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Knowledge of hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, steering mechanisms, HVAC systems for vehicles or machinery. Ability to lift heavy objects safely during tire service or equipment repairs; comfortable performing heavy lifting tasks regularly. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of working independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills to provide clear updates on repairs and maintenance procedures.
