Diesel Technician/Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy trucks. This role involves performing in-shop repairs as well as providing road service to ensure our fleet operates efficiently and reliably. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred to better serve our diverse customer base. The candidate must have their own tools, reliable transportation, and a strong work ethic to succeed in this dynamic environment. Responsibilities Perform diesel engine repairs and maintenance on heavy trucks and equipment Conduct in-shop repairs for diesel-powered vehicles and machinery Provide road service support for on-site repairs and troubleshooting Diagnose mechanical issues accurately using appropriate tools and techniques Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service performed Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs Assist in preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan of equipment Skills Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred for effective communication with diverse clients and team members Must have own set of tools suitable for diesel engine repair tasks Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and heavy truck repair techniques Ability to perform both in-shop repairs and road service calls effectively Reliable transportation to travel between shop and job sites as needed Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Good organizational skills to manage multiple repair jobs efficiently This position offers an engaging opportunity for experienced diesel technicians who are committed to quality work, safety, and customer satisfaction.
