Diesel Technician/Mechanic
Schurter Trucking LLCJob Overview We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to work on a team of skilled professionals who are focused on producing high quality work while maintaining a safe, clean and efficient job area. Must have some experience in service and maintenance, with the ability to work on various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can perform repairs, and ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Pay is based on experience. Responsibilities - Perform preventative maintenance, i.e. changing truck oil, gear lubes, rotate and replace tires, brake repair/replacement and clutch repair/maintenance. - Utilize power tools and heavy equipment operation skills to assist in repairs and assembly tasks. - Maintain accurate records and documentation of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment. - Communicate with Shop Manager and team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs while adhering to safety standards. Skills - Knowledge of equipment repair techniques and heavy equipment operation. - Problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. - Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
