Diesel Technician/Mechanic

Job Overview First shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with overtime as needed. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of 46 Freightliner Cascadia semi-trucks and 60 dry van trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently while adhering to safety standards and quality workmanship. Responsibilities Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, air brake inspections, wheel alignments, and equipment lubrication. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and inspections performed on vehicles and equipment. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes (including air brake systems), hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical systems. Ability to operate power tools safely while performing vehicle maintenance or equipment repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or drivers.
