Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment adjustments, and air brake inspections to maximize equipment longevity. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other farm or industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on heavy trucks, farm machinery, or industrial equipment with precision diagnostics tools. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair projects requiring heavy lifting and welding expertise. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background working with heavy equipment or trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and vehicle electrical systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications. Hands-on experience operating excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, or similar heavy machinery. Ability to perform automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance with attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
