Diesel Technician Foreman

SHOP FOREMAN / LEAD HEAVY-DUTY TECHNICIAN Burnside Truck Service | Tulsa, Oklahoma | Full-Time Burnside Truck Service is looking for an experienced diesel technician to lead our shop floor. This is a hands-on position for someone who can diagnose difficult problems, perform repairs, mentor technicians, and set a high standard for workmanship. If you’re the technician others turn to when they’re stuck, we want to talk to you. WHAT YOU’LL DO Lead and mentor technicians while actively performing repairs and diagnostics. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, and aftertreatment problems. Help prioritize and assign work based on technician skills and shop needs. Monitor repair progress and inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and efficiency. Work closely with Service Advisors and Parts personnel to keep jobs moving and maintain clear repair notes. Promote a safe, organized shop and hold the team accountable for quality and professionalism. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Significant Class 6–8 diesel truck repair experience; 5+ years preferred . Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic ability , including wiring, electronic controls, communication faults, and intermittent problems. Ability to read wiring diagrams and use professional diagnostic equipment. Experience identifying root causes and verifying completed repairs. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to teach, support, and lead other technicians by example. Experience with Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR, and Volvo/Mack platforms is highly desirable. Familiarity with software such as INSITE, DDDL, DAVIE-4, JPRO, or other OEM diagnostic systems is a plus. Previous Shop Foreman or Lead Technician experience, ASE certifications, OEM training, and a Class A or B CDL are preferred. WHY BURNSIDE?
