Role Description The Diesel Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Temecula, CA. This team member performs diagnostic evaluations, routine services, and complex repairs on diesel-powered trucks and fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. Daily responsibilities include conducting scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing repair orders, and maintaining accurate service records. The position also involves collaborating with service advisors, communicating clearly with customers about findings and recommended repairs, and following all safety and regulatory standards. The Diesel Technician is expected to keep work areas organized, use tools and equipment properly, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices. Qualifications Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, with experience servicing diesel trucks or fleet vehicles. Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Effective Customer Service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, professional language. Familiarity with safety procedures, shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and relevant regulations. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in diesel technology or automotive repair preferred. Ability to lift and move heavy components, stand for extended periods, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions. Valid driver’s license; commercial driver’s license (CDL) and prior fleet service experience are a plus. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative shop team.
