Diesel Technician

Wooster Motor Ways is growing and looking to expand our team of skilled Diesel Technicians at our tractor-trailer service facility in Wooster, Ohio for our Second Shift. In this role, you'll perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and semi-trailers to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently in line with DOT and company standards . This is a Full-Time position, working Mondays through Thursdays. What You'll Do: Perform inspections and repairs on trucks/trailers per DOT and company guidelines Diagnose and repair systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, hydraulics, A/C, and suspension Complete routine maintenance (oil changes, brake adjustments, battery checks, lubrication) Use diagnostic tools and gauges to troubleshoot equipment Lift/move up to 50 lbs and work with hoists, jacks, and hand tools Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance policies What We're Looking For: Proven mechanical and diagnostic skills Ability to work in a physical, hands-on environment Familiarity with DOT standards and preventative maintenance Openness to work outside, and on weekends/first shift if needed Willingness to follow all safety protocols and company procedures Preferred (Not Required): Welding/Fabrication experience CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) ASE Certifications Compensation & Benefits: Weekly Direct Deposit Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match* Paid Vacation & Holidays Quarterly Tool Allowance Yearly Boot Allowance Company-Provided Uniforms Sign-on Bonus Work Environment: Active garage setting with concrete floors Temperatures vary based on season Noise levels vary depending on equipment in use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required Apply now to join a team where safety, reliability, and craftsmanship are valued every day.
