Parts Manager – Diesel Semi Truck & Trailer Shop (Fullbay Experience Preferred) Location: 1954 Douglas Dr, Portage, IN 46368 Company: Alpha Truck Repair Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Office-based) Pay: $20–$25/hour (based on experience) Employment Type: Full-time, W2, Direct Deposit weekly We are a growing, family-style diesel semi truck and trailer repair shop in Portage, IN looking for an experienced Parts Manager to join our team. This role is hands-on with both parts and our Fullbay software — you’ll be the person opening jobs, adding parts, and keeping the system accurate so our mechanics and shop manager can work efficiently. Please Note: Prior experience with semi truck and trailer parts is required. Experience ordering and receiving parts for a semi-truck or trailer repair shop is strongly preferred. General automotive parts experience is secondary. Preferred Experience: Fullbay (or similar shop management / parts system) Freightliner software or other OEM parts systems Job Responsibilities: Create and open repair orders / invoices in Fullbay so mechanics can see the work and parts needed. Take repair requests from drivers, companies, and the shop; enter them into Fullbay and coordinate parts. Look up, order, receive, and issue parts to technicians; add the correct parts to the open invoices in Fullbay. Maintain accurate inventory counts and conduct regular audits (quarterly audits are scheduled in advance on weekends when the shop is closed). Oversee procurement, pricing, and cost-effective ordering from vendors. Identify new suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing when possible. Drive the company pickup van to pick up parts as needed. Support the shop manager by keeping invoices organized so labor can be added and jobs closed accurately. Assist with miscellaneous shop tasks when main duties are complete. Requirements: Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Ability to work 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy shop environment Knowledge of diesel truck and trailer parts strongly preferred Fullbay experience is a plus and will be considered a significant advantage Benefits: Paid time off Referral program Steady, full-time hours in a family-style shop How to Apply: Please call Kevin at 312-860-3708 for more information.
