Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic specializing in Truck Fleet maintenance and repair! In this vital role, you will be the driving force behind keeping our fleet of heavy-duty trucks operating at peak performance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of diesel-powered trucks and heavy machinery, making a tangible impact every day. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, air brake inspections, wheel alignments, and shock & strut replacements. Utilize schematics and automotive electrical systems knowledge to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery for repair or movement purposes. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and power tools to support vehicle repairs or custom modifications. Inspect and repair vehicle systems including HVAC, steering, suspension, and powertrain components to maintain safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs in accordance with company procedures. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy truck repair or automotive diagnostics is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and vehicle electrical systems. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Ability to read schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with drivers and team members about repair needs and timelines.
