Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic specializing in Tow Trucks to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Medium-duty tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operational, reliable, and ready to respond to roadside assistance needs. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on tow trucks, including engine repairs, brake system overhauls, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and HVAC servicing. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding and hand tools to improve vehicle performance or address specific operational needs. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of complex vehicle systems using power tools and equipment maintenance techniques. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly to team members and clients while ensuring timely turnaround of repairs. Experience Proven experience as a diesel mechanic with a focus on Medium-duty trucks, tow trucks, or industrial equipment repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred due to familiarity with manufacturer specifications and advanced diagnostics. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; ability to work with schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections.
