Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of construction machinery, industrial equipment, and transportation vehicles. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines using electrical and automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and construction machinery to ensure operational efficiency. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, air brakes, transmissions, suspension components, and HVAC systems on various machinery. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and schematics to meet specific operational needs. Replace or repair components including brake systems, transmissions, tires, electrical wiring, and engine parts following OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Conduct equipment inspections and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan. Assist in heavy lifting tasks and perform alignment procedures to maintain proper equipment functioning. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment service background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, automotive repair, and industrial equipment troubleshooting. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, hydraulic systems repair, and diesel engine diagnostics. Hands-on experience with fabricating parts using welding techniques; familiarity with power tools is essential. Ability to perform tire service, brake repair, air brake systems testing, suspension adjustments, and HVAC repairs on heavy equipment. Skilled in the use of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting safely. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients.
