Diesel Mechanic in Pensacola Florida - Experienced

Job Summary Please do not apply if you do not have qualified experience-We are not looking for "Helpers" . We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Good Time Tours is a family owned charter bus Company in Pensacola, Florida, with a small fleet of seven 45ft motorcoaches. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, particularly in motorcoach/ buses . This role requires the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate various tools and machinery safely. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet. Duties Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including air brake systems, shocks, and struts. Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate testing equipment and techniques. Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal performance of machinery Transmit findings and recommendations to management regarding equipment status and repair needs. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Diagnose and repair heating and colling systems. Collaborate with other service technicians to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems. Have a positive attitude, work hard and treat others with respect. Adhere to all safety protocols while performing duties in the shop or field. Perform safety inspections of buses Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, including troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of diesel emissions, DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) and diagnostics and repair using a laptop computer, Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety practices in a workshop environment. Experience working with buses is highly desirable. Ability to work independently. Certification or training in diesel mechanics , heating and colling systems and electrical repair is an asset but not required.
