Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Technician – $22–$36/hr

Lance Rental Company is growing, and we're looking for motivated, dependable Diesel Mechanics and Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our teams in Baytown and Port Arthur, Texas. You do NOT need previous pump experience to apply! If you have experience working on diesel engines, heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, or industrial equipment, we want to talk to you. At Lance Rental, we specialize in industrial rental equipment used in refineries, chemical plants, and other industrial facilities. Our technicians play a critical role in keeping equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently for our customers. What You'll Be Doing Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel engines and industrial equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs. Work on diesel-driven industrial pumps and associated equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related issues. Perform equipment testing to ensure equipment is operating safely and meets company standards. Prepare rental equipment for customer delivery and inspect equipment upon return. Identify equipment deficiencies and complete repairs efficiently. Respond to equipment issues at customer locations when needed. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection documentation. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Work closely with operations, dispatch, and other technicians to support customer needs. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: Hands-on mechanical experience with diesel engines, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or similar equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail. Dependable attendance, positive attitude, and willingness to learn. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required): Experience working on John Deere, Caterpillar, Cummins, or similar diesel engines. Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, or diesel diagnostics. Experience with industrial pumps, compressors, generators, or rental equipment. Experience working in refineries, chemical plants, or industrial environments. Technical school training or diesel mechanic certification. Don't have pump experience? That's okay! We're willing to train experienced mechanics who have the right attitude and mechanical foundation. Pay & Career Advancement $22.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
