Diesel Mechanic

The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for helping maintenance of the company’s fleet of vehicles and all associated functions listed below. Essential Functions Possesses a working knowledge of automotive repairs Performs routine car and heavy-duty truck preventative maintenance service Conducts routine equipment maintenance Supports general warehouse projects as necessary Other Duties Conduct daily truck fueling Assist with snow removal as necessary Assist Fleet Manager with projects as necessary Available off-hours for road service (paid overtime) as necessary Qualifications / Skills Possess basic math & English skills Possess hands-on mechanical skills Has great time management skills Has great problem-solving skills Familiar with computer diagnostics & electrical systems (Cummins / International computers) preferred Has Class A or Class B (w/ airbrake endorsement) Commercial Driver’s License preferred Physical Demands Ability to perform heavy-duty tire repairs Ability to move up to 175lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to work on your back with assistance of a rolling creeper Ability to climb stairs & ladders Benefits Comprehensive Benefit Package: 100% Company Funded Health Insurance (BCBS) & Vision, Life & LTD Contributory Dental Insurance (BCBS) Flexible Spending Account (FSA) 401k Profit-Sharing Plan Paid Time Off plus 11 Paid Holidays Weekly Overtime guaranteed Employee Assistance Program Monday - Friday 5:30am - 3:00pm Nights & Weekends as needed
