Diesel Mechanic Equipment Mechanic

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of street sweepers and related equipment. This is a full-time position in our fully equipped shop. Our fleet operates 24/7, so the ideal candidate can work independently, prioritize work, and keep equipment running with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, air filters, fuel filters, fluids, greasing, inspections) Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems (pumps, motors, valves, hoses) Replace and service sweeper wear parts, brushes, and related components Perform tire service and brake work (air, drum, and disc) Weld and fabricate as needed for repairs and modifications Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues Maintain accurate repair records, manage parts inventory, and order parts as needed Keep the shop clean and organized Requirements Hands-on experience with diesel engines, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs Ability to work independently with little direction Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT physical (company-paid medical card provided) Able to lift 75 lbs and move up to 200 lbs Reliable, honest, and willing to work as needed to support 24/7 operations Nice to Have Experience with street sweepers or similar municipal/commercial equipment Welding/fabrication skills Own tools (not required — we have a fully equipped garage) What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Company-paid DOT medical card Boot allowance Full-time/OT hours in a well-equipped shop Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $30.00 per hour Ability to Relocate: Pelham, NH 03076: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
