Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, including electrical systems, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, and HVAC components. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, trailers, and construction machinery. Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and function. Perform suspension repairs, tire services, brake repairs, and air brake adjustments to ensure vehicle safety compliance. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Requirements Five years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic. Clean motor vehicle record Must have own tools to perform work Capable of lifting 50 lbs. overhead Strong work ethic Organizational skills Self-motivated Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions Flexibility. Work hours might vary (occasional nights and weekends required).
