Diesel Mechanic – Journeyman (Construction Fleet Maintenance) Location: Auburn, WA Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour (DOE) About Us: A Advanced Septic and Construction Services is a fast-growing civil construction company based in Auburn, WA. We’re looking for an experienced Journeyman Diesel Mechanic (Shop Technician) to join our dedicated team full-time. This role plays a critical part in keeping our fleet and equipment running safely and efficiently across various job sites. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel and gas vehicles and construction equipment. Conduct hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair for light to heavy-duty trucks. Carry out routine services, including LOF inspections and annual DOT inspections. Maintain and repair a wide range of fleet vehicles and machinery, from mini to full-size equipment. Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed. Complete in-shop and on-site repairs. Assist with custom fabrication of tools and parts for specific tasks. Keep accurate maintenance and repair records (Excel proficiency required). Follow all company and safety regulations. Required Skills & Experience: 5–10+ years of diesel and heavy equipment mechanic experience, preferably in a fleet environment. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems. Proficient in welding and fabrication. Skilled in diagnostics across all systems (hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, etc.). Experience maintaining mixed fleets (gas and diesel, light to heavy-duty vehicles, construction equipment). Valid WA State Driver’s License (required). CDL & DOT Certification in Air Brakes (preferred but not required). Ability to work independently and on job sites as needed.
