Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in various types of heavy equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. Repair hydraulic systems and components as needed. Conduct equipment repairs, including soldering and welding tasks when necessary. Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes and to assist in repairs. Perform heavy lifting as required to move parts and equipment. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working with industrial equipment. Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and efficiency. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with air brake systems and their maintenance is advantageous. Experience with heavy lifting, forklift operation, and heavy equipment operation is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of industrial equipment repair techniques is a plus.
