Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing diesel trucks and specialized concrete pumping equipment. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel trucks and specialized concrete pumping equipment. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently by analyzing mechanical problems and implementing effective repair solutions. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of heavy machinery while ensuring safety compliance. Replace or repair components such as brake systems, suspensions, alignments, powertrains, HVAC systems, tires, and electrical wiring. Assist in heavy equipment operation when necessary for testing repairs or conducting on-site diagnostics to ensure proper functionality. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment servicing is essential. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, hydraulic systems, and schematics interpretation. Skilled in welding, fabrication, assembly, tire service, brake repair, and general vehicle maintenance using hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, HVAC systems, suspension systems, air brakes, and powertrains. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent troubleshooting skills. Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs or assembly tasks. Customer service oriented with effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients alike.
