Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, construction machinery, industrial equipment, and transportation vehicles. Your skills will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability across our fleet and machinery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery, farm equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial vehicles. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify equipment as needed. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues including suspension systems, HVAC systems on heavy machinery, tire service, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, and hydraulic system repairs. Follow OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for parts replacement and system repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repair procedures accurately. Support heavy lifting operations during equipment installation or repair projects while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic in dealership settings or heavy equipment servicing environments. Strong background in construction machinery maintenance, automotive diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting. Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and mechanical components of heavy-duty vehicles. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and metalwork for custom repairs or modifications. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation combined with mechanical expertise in excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Ability to perform diesel engine diagnostics and repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
