Diesel Mechanic

Class B Diesel Mechanic Maintain and repair a modern fleet of waste and recycling trucks. Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems. Complete preventive maintenance and ensure all work complies with safety and environmental standards. Key duties include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, documenting repairs and work orders, and collaborating with drivers and supervisors to keep operations running safely. Qualifications & Skills Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment systems Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulics, brakes, and electrical components Experience with preventive maintenance practices Attention to safety, quality, and environmental compliance Competence in completing and maintaining accurate work order documentation Good communication and teamwork skills with drivers and supervisors
