Job Overview Join our dynamic team at Gen Four, LLC as a Diesel Mechanic Assistant and be a vital part of maintaining and repairing tri axle trucks. You will assist with diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Duties Assist our senior mechanic with diagnosing issues using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and hydraulic diagrams Support the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to perform repairs and assembly tasks Perform tire service, wheel alignments, air brake adjustments, and hydraulic system repairs Help with equipment maintenance including welding, heavy lifting, and parts replacement to ensure operational safety Follow detailed work orders and schematics to accurately complete repairs while adhering to safety protocols Skills Proven dealership or heavy equipment mechanic experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base Familiarity with fabrication techniques and equipment repair including welding and soldering skills Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams for diagnosing automotive electrical systems and vehicle systems Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and power lifts for vehicle maintenance This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse machinery in a supportive environment that values your growth.
