Role Description This full-time, on-site Diesel Mechanic role is based in Canada and focuses on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and heavy equipment. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing engine repairs, conducting preventive maintenance services, and completing routine vehicle and equipment inspections. The Diesel Mechanic will use diagnostic tools, follow safety protocols, and adhere to manufacturer specifications and company standards. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records, collaborating with service advisors and other technicians, and communicating clearly with leadership about repair timelines and parts requirements. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance. Candidates should possess skills in Diesel Mechanics and Heavy Equipment service and repair. Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and troubleshooting. Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship as a Diesel Mechanic or Automotive/Heavy-Duty Technician is preferred. Experience working with diagnostic tools, service manuals, and repair documentation. Strong safety awareness and ability to follow occupational health and safety standards. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a service team environment. Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in varied shop conditions.
