Diesel Mechanic

Milliken Corporation is looking for an experienced, full-time Gas & Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, takes pride in their work, and has the knowledge and experience to keep our fleet and equipment operating safely and efficiently. Our mechanics work on a wide variety of vehicles, trucks, construction machinery, and heavy equipment, so no two days are exactly the same. Responsibilities include: Diagnosing and repairing gas and diesel engines Performing preventative maintenance and routine service Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and equipment issues Repairing and maintaining trucks, vehicles, machinery, and heavy equipment Performing inspections and identifying needed repairs before they become larger problems Operating machinery and equipment as needed Keeping accurate maintenance and repair records Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop and work environment What we're looking for: Strong experience with both gas and diesel engines Experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles, trucks, machinery, and/or heavy equipment Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and efficiently Dependability and a strong work ethic Comfort operating and working around heavy machinery Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Welding and fabrication experience is a plus CDL is a plus, but not required This is a full-time position , and some early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required depending on operational needs.
