Diesel Mechanic

GX3 Trucking company is seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Diesel Mechanic to join our shop team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the fleet of trucks and vehicles in our yard. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in diesel engine repair, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles. Responsibilities: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, and electrical issues in diesel engines and related systems Conduct thorough inspections to identify and repair faulty components or systems Repair or replace defective parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and exhaust systems Utilize diagnostic equipment, computer software, and manuals to assist with troubleshooting and repairs Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment Keep accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, and parts used Collaborate with other team members to coordinate repairs and ensure efficient workflow Maintain a clean and organized work area Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in diesel engine repair Perform Engine overhauls on Cummins X15, Paccar MX, and D13 Volvo. Valve adjustments on all engine platforms.
