We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This position requires the ability to work safely, efficiently, and independently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring all equipment remains in proper working condition. Responsibilities include routine fluid services and preventative maintenance such as oil changes, transmission and differential servicing, cooling system maintenance, tire repair and replacement, and other minor repairs including wiper blades, filters, and essential components. The Diesel Mechanic will work closely with on-site Supervisors to communicate equipment conditions, preventative maintenance recommendations, repair needs, downtime updates, and estimated repair timelines to help ensure smooth project operations. Responsibilities: - Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks. - Helping with Diagnosing and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. - Perform inspections to identify worn or damaged parts and recommend necessary repairs. - Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. - Collaborate with service manager to ensure timely completion of repairs. - Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes and to assist with repairs when needed. Experience: -Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic required - Minimum of 5 years of diesel engine repair experience preferred -Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment -Experience with excavators, dump trucks, loaders, trailers, and related equipment -Ability to read and interpret service manuals and diagnostic codes -Automotive and heavy equipment maintenance experience required -Welding and fabrication experience is a plus -Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills -Attention to detail and safety awareness Requirements: Must provide basic diesel mechanic tools including, but not limited to: Pliers Punches Grinder Chisels Hammers Screwdrivers Pry bars Allen wrenches Torx bits SAE and Metric wrench, ratchet, and socket sets *WRM Excavator Services LLC will provide specialty tools as needed. Valid state driver’s license required Must be at least 25 years old to operate company vehicles under company insurance Good driving record required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Available to work Monday through Friday (workday begins at 6:00 AM), with occasional Saturdays as needed Ability to lift and move 75+ pounds Ability to work in close quarters Ability to work at a production-rate pace involving constant pushing and pulling of materials Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and work for extended periods Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures Strong time management and decision-making skills Dependable with a strong work ethic Good communication skills and positive attitude Excellent communication skills Computer knowledge is a plus, but not required CDL preferred, but not required Benefits: -Competitive salary based on experience. -Paid holidays and paid time off 1 week vacation after 1 full year of employment 2 weeks vacation after 5 years of employment -Health benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
