Diesel Mechanic A to inspect, diagnose, and repair a fleet of diesel trucks and heavy equipment used in waste and recycling operations. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and complete required inspections. Troubleshoot and repair engine, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems. Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out corrective repairs. Complete work orders accurately and document service/repair findings. Ensure repairs meet safety and environmental standards. Collaborate with operations teams and respond to equipment breakdowns. Qualifications & Skills Strong diesel/heavy equipment mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Proficiency with hydraulic, brake, and electrical system diagnostics. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance. Effective communication and teamwork with operations personnel.
