Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. The successful candidate should have strong mechanical skills, a good work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as with a team. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks, vehicles, and heavy equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related problems. Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems. Perform oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and other scheduled maintenance. Inspect equipment and vehicles to identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns. Maintain accurate maintenance records and document all repairs and services performed. Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist with troubleshooting as needed. Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained in safe operating condition. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all applicable safety procedures and company policies. Qualifications Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic preferred. Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform necessary repairs. Experience working on heavy equipment, work trucks, and fleet vehicles is a plus. Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment. Valid driver's license required. CDL is a plus but not required. Must be dependable, organized, and able to work safely and efficiently. Ability to lift heavy components and perform physical work as required.
