Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet and machinery operate efficiently, safely, and reliably across various construction, industrial, and agricultural settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other heavy machinery. The ideal candidate is passionate about mechanical work, possesses strong troubleshooting skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where safety and quality are paramount. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical components, air brakes, and suspension systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repairs, and fluid checks to ensure optimal equipment performance. Repair and overhaul construction machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other heavy equipment in accordance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding and fabrication techniques to enhance or repair equipment. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and perform electrical diagnostics on heavy equipment to identify issues accurately. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs for all serviced equipment. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate tools and safety protocols to ensure safe handling of large components during repairs or assembly. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical diagnostics. Hands-on experience with construction machinery maintenance such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, forklifts, and farm machinery. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical components. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other repair apparatus. Knowledge of OEM parts specifications for vehicle maintenance and repair procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately under pressure. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety standards.
