Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities: Perform diesel engine diagnostics and repairs or rebuilds Perform mechanical systems diagnostics and repairs Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further repairs are needed or recommended Road test when required Document in detail, work performed on repairs Participate in service and training programs for the development of skills and knowledge Maintain condition of company inventory, tools and equipment Maintain a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Understand and comply with all federal, state and local regulations Report any safety issues immediately to a supervisor Experience: Experienced in diesel engine repair/rebuilds Experienced in mechanical systems repair Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in on and off highway equipment Basic computer functions Proficient oral and written communication skills CDL preferred Benefits : Health Savings Account + Employer Contribution 401k + Employer Match Employer Life and AD&D Coverage Generous Personal Time Off Plan (PTO Paid Holidays Company Paid Training Employee Assistance Program Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Flexible schedule Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Education: Associate (Preferred) Experience: Diesel Mechanics: 3 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
