In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, and electrical systems using OEM schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot equipment issues including mechanical failures, electrical faults, hydraulics problems, and suspension concerns with precision. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Service and repair farm machinery, industrial equipment, power tools, HVAC systems, and other heavy-duty vehicles or machinery. Perform tire service, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, and suspension work to maintain safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and follow safety protocols during all repair activities. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment experience preferred. Strong knowledge of construction equipment maintenance, automotive diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals related to OEM specifications for diesel engines and heavy machinery. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software for electrical and mechanical repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment such as excavators or forklifts when necessary. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients. Relevant certifications in diesel engine repair, electrical diagnostics or related fields are highly desirable.
