Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and construction vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance to keep our fleet and machinery running smoothly. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, air brake inspections, alignments, and fluid checks to prevent future breakdowns Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and function Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repairs or testing procedures Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues on farm machinery, industrial equipment, or automotive systems Conduct vehicle maintenance including engine repairs, transmission overhauls, HVAC system servicing, wheel alignments, and assembly of repaired parts Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and parts used; ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair in dealership or heavy equipment environments Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics combined with hands-on experience in brake repair, tire service, hydraulic systems, and suspension work Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators or cranes is preferred Experience working with Caterpillar or other OEM equipment is advantageous Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize service manuals effectively for troubleshooting complex systems Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and maintenance needs Join us to work on diverse machinery in a vibrant environment where your skills make a real impact!
