Diesel Mechanic
Bluegrass StreamRole: Safely operate, repair, rebuild, and perform maintenance on heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Responsibilities Conduct daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on diesel refuse trucks. Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, brake, suspension, PTO, and other truck systems. Perform preventative maintenance to keep fleet vehicles operational. Qualifications & Skills Experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks and related systems. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, brake, and suspension systems. Ability to perform inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance effectively. Additional Details Compensation ranges from $25 to $32 per hour, with pay increases based on experience, certifications, and skill level. Includes a $5K sign-on bonus paid in installments. Shift: 2pm-12:30am, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include PTO, monthly tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health insurance after 60 days, and 401K after six months. Company covers ASE testing and offers pay raises for certifications.
