Role Description This full-time, on-site Diesel Mechanic role is based at TeCe Trucking Inc’s facility in Missoula, MT. The Diesel Mechanic will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and related heavy equipment to keep the fleet in safe and reliable working condition. Day-to-day tasks include conducting routine inspections, completing preventive maintenance services, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and documenting all work performed. The role also involves collaborating with dispatch and operations teams to prioritize repairs, maintain parts inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Diesel Mechanic will help identify opportunities to improve fleet reliability and minimize downtime. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Diesel Mechanics and working with Heavy Equipment. Candidates should possess solid Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance skills. Candidates should possess experience performing Preventive Maintenance on commercial trucks and related equipment. Relevant technical training or certification in diesel technology, automotive repair, or a related field is preferred. Ability to use diagnostic tools, read service manuals, and follow safety procedures in a shop environment. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple repair tasks efficiently. Physical ability to lift and move heavy parts, stand for extended periods, and work in varying shop conditions. Previous experience with commercial trucking or bulk liquid transportation equipment is beneficial.
