Diesel Mechanic

Concrete Supply of Illinois is currently hiring a full-time experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team at our Edwardsville, IL terminal. Schedule: Monday thru Friday Pay: $28.89 - $34.79/hr. based on experience. Job Duties · Perform Preventative Maintenance and DOT Inspection procedures and guidelines. · Electrical systems to include: starting, charging, lighting, and the latest truck electrical systems in diagnosis and repair to TMC, Federal and Company standards. · Diagnose and repair with all brake, steering, chassis, drive train, engine, cooling, air conditioning, tire and charging systems to TMC, Federal and Company standards. · Willingness to learn and utilize our Maintenance Software program in its entirety for equipment maintenance history and warranty processing. · Maintain detailed records of services performed on vehicles · Ensure adherence to safety regulations and shop protocols Job Requirements · 3 years of documented experience in maintenance and repair of heavy- duty class 8 trucks preferred. · Employee must provide individual hand and air tools required to perform repairs other than specialized repair and diagnostic equipment which is company provided · Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with your hands · Strong understanding of Class B equipment in relation to DOT and TMC Standards · Basic Oxygen and Acetylene cutting and welding knowledge · Able to climb ladders to work elevated areas · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Cab A/C certification is preferred · Air brake certified is preferred · Must possess or be able to obtain a Class B CDL · Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.89 - $34.79 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Application Question(s): Are you willing and able to climb ladders and work in elevated areas?
