ConfidentialJob Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of construction machinery, farm equipment, industrial vehicles, and transportation units. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and hand tools. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, and equipment inspections to prevent breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan. Troubleshoot complex issues involving heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery to identify root causes efficiently. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using welding and metalworking techniques to meet specific operational requirements. Assist with heavy lifting operations and perform assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades. Maintain detailed service records, inspection logs, and repair documentation to ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM specifications. Support customer service efforts by providing technical guidance on equipment operation and maintenance best practices. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment servicing is essential. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, HVAC systems, schematics reading, and equipment troubleshooting. Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance instruments. Familiarity with construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, loaders, forklifts, and farm machinery. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environmental conditions. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills for complex equipment repairs. Certification or training in electrical systems repair or heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
