Diesel Mechanic
BROWN TRANSPORTDiesel Mechanic Quasi 2nd and Quasi 3rd shift openings - meaning hours are flexible but close to a 2nd and 3rd schedule. Applicants must have mechanical knowledge of class 8 trucks and trailers, have own tools, a valid driver’s license (CDL Class A is a plus), perform troubleshooting and repairs. Ensure quality control of all semi-truck and trailer equipment owned and leased, as well as other company owned vehicles. Light welding and torching, perform services on equipment (oil/lube/etc) as needed and change tires as needed. Be able to prioritize work load based on dispatch schedule. Capabilities include dependable transportation, be on time for shift, stand on feet for long periods of time, able to bend, twist, push, pull and lift 50+ pounds. Good communications with Operations Manager for parts and status of repairs as well as good communications with Dispatch on having equipment prepared for drivers, is very important.
