Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles. This role requires a strong background in automotive and industrial repair, with the ability to diagnose complex issues and perform precise repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience, proficiency with schematics, and hands-on expertise in heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems on various vehicles and equipment. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, and electrical diagnostics. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and power tools. Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other farm or industrial equipment. Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems before failures occur. Maintain detailed service records of repairs and maintenance performed. Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery for repair or replacement purposes. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations. Skills Extensive dealership experience with automotive diagnostics and repair. Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, shocks & struts. Skilled in welding, soldering, electrical troubleshooting, and schematics interpretation. Ability to perform vehicle maintenance such as tire service, brake repair, alignment, and general assembly/disassembly tasks. Experience working with farm machinery and industrial equipment is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service experience for client interactions. Capable of heavy lifting safely and working with precision using hand tools and power tools.
